First Class

My name is Sam and I am excited to be in this class. I currently teach Middle School ELA in Providence, but teaching is a career change for me. Before teaching, I was working in the humanitarian and international development field, working overseas for an international NGO. I have worked all over the world- in Afghanistan, Gaza, Liberia, Ghana, Vanuatu and lots more. I had always worked on education related projects and had taught right out of college so teaching seemed like a good fit. Looking forward to learning more in this class and improving my teaching practice.
